  1. Where is Chinsegut Conservation Center
    • The center is located in Brooksville Florida, sometimes confused with the Chinsegut Hill Manor House. The center is on Lake Lindsey Road.

  2. I am brand new to photography, can I still register for a workshop?
    • Absolutely! Creative Photography is learning new ways to photograph, we will help with any basic camera modes. We are there to give you inspiration and encouragement to experience nature photography.
  3. I am an experienced photographer can I still take your workshop?
    • Yes, there is always new ways to see things differently, however please be respectful for those that are beginning to learn.
  4. What do I need to bring?
    • Your camera of course, but if there is a workshop that has a specific use, like birding, then a telephoto lens would be needed.
    • Laptop is great, but not necessary.
    • If we are hiking, please bring a small hiking backpack filled with your necessities.
      • Example: water, your medicine, cell phone, snack, extra camera lens, card, little notebook and pen.

  5. How long do we hike?
    • Hikes are timed by how many participants are in the group. There’s lots of things at Chinsegut to photograph!
    • Please wear hiking boots or closed toed shoes
  6. Can I share some of my photos from the workshop?
    • YES, PLEASE!… Check out our Facebook Page and post away! Your photo can be featured for our Facebook cover and our Focus Photo of the Week!
  7. What if I can not make the workshop, can I get a refund?
    • Not at this time refunds are not issued. You can apply that payment towards another workshop.
  8. Is there an age requirement?
    • Workshop are for those aged 16 years or older
    • At times there are workshops offered for those aged 15 and younger, please check the information of each workshop.
  9. What happens if it rains?
    • No worries.. there are plenty of things to do in the center from arts and crafts to educational projects!

Photographing nature in it’s natural environment has it’s perks and also has it’s downers.. commonly we come across those nasty mosquitoes and ticks. It’s nature, please be aware of that.

Always watch where you are stepping and be attentive of your surroundings.
Never hike alone!
